Lae Telikom Juniors Wins 2019 Huon Touch Title

Telikom Lae Juniors were crowned the 2019 Champions of the annual Huon Corporate Touch in the Junior Division beating Bridgestone juniors.

The junior side made by staff’s children fought hard in the rain beating Bridgestone juniors 1-0 to claim the title.

Telikom team captain Grace Borish was proud of the side’s performance and thanked the parents for their support during the course of the tournament.

The 2019 Huon Corporate Touch challenge saw a total of 16 teams in Lae taking part across four divisions; Masters Men, Open Mix, Senior Mix and Junior.

Telikom Masters and Open teams went as far as the knockouts meanwhile the senior mix team lost to BPNG in the Semi-final.

Teams that took part in the four months’ tournament were Telikom PNG, Sentry Locksmith, Mynet, Trukai Industries, Bmobile, Bank of PNG, Bridgestone, BSP, Masters System, SP Brewery, Puma Energy, Lae Secondary School, Almalpak, Water PNG, Digicel, and Ramu Sugar.

Telikom PNG sponsors POM Suburban Sport League Association

Telikom PNG continuous support towards sporting codes in PNG continues to grow as they recently supported the Port Moresby Suburban Sport League Association (POMSSLA) with a sponsorship of K5,000.
The donation was timely as it would go towards the staging of the lead up games to the Southern Zone trials in Port Moresby.
Association Chairman Bosky Koke thanked Telikom for its generous donation and says Telikom has been supporting the Association over the years.
Telikom’s Marketing Manager Silas Matoli made the presentation on behalf of Telikom PNG last Saturday (20th July, 2019) at Koni Tigers Oval.
Chairman Bosky Koke says further elaborated that the money would not only support the Men’s’ trials but Women’s competition as well.
The players selected will go on to represent Southern Zone in the upcoming Championship later on this year.

Telikom supports 2019 National Mask and Warwagira Festival

Telikom PNG Limited has supported the 2019 National Mask and Warwagira Festival in Kokopo with a sponsorship of K5000.

Festival’s Chariman Issac Ilou when receiving the cheque thanked Telikom PNG for their timely support towards the 25th National Mask and Warwagira Festival.

This is Telikom PNG’s first time to participate in the festival and has joined other business houses as the Bronze Sponsor.

The sponsorship has also strengthened the existing relationship Telikom has with Kokopo Business Community and Telikom hope to continue sponsoring the event in the coming years.

Telikom sponsors 2019 Human Resource Conference

Telikom PNG has sponsored the 2019 PNG Human Resource Institute Conference with a cheque of K7,500.

Kumul Telikom Holdings Limited Group Chief HR Officer, Jessie Wangua presented the cheque today (14 June, 2019) to PNG HRI President Jerry Wemin and spoke on the importance of the role PNG HRI continues to play in developing Human Resource in PNG.

“PNG HRI has been one of the leading institution that has been contributing to not only the corporate but government and privately owned institutions.

“We Telikom are happy to support PNG HRI to enhance Human Resource in the country.” Says Wangua.

PNG HRI President Jerry Wemin thanked Telikom for its generous support and says Telikom has been supporting PNG HRI over the years and has continue to do so.

Sponsorship will see Telikom a bronze sponsor of the annual event.

The HRI Conference which will be held on the 20-21 June, will see over 200 plus Human Resource personnel nationwide attending.

Telikom PNG donates FWB to Kaugere Meri Seif Haus

 

Kaugere Meri Self Haus were the proud recipient of a Telikom PNG’s latest product, Fixed Wireless Broadband to boost its campaign against Gender-Base Violence.


The Meri Seif Haus is a program run by Foursquare Living Light Gospel Church at Kaugere. The program is managed by the Church’s Women Ministry providing temporary shelter to victims of Violence in Moresby South and NCD.


Telikom PNG Limited made the generous donation yesterday (4th June, 2019) to the Seif Haus to help coordinate and run its services to the victims.


Telikom Marketing & Business Development Manager Silas Matoli, when presenting the device to the church spoke on the importance of addressing Gender-Base violence in our communities and says Telikom is pleased to support churches who are doing something to benefit our people in the communities.


“Telikom is owned by the People of Papua New Guineans and it’s only right that the company comes to support such programs,” says Matoli. The Fixed Wireless broadband offers both voice and data services and is available in all Telikom shops nationwide.


Resident Senior Pastor Rodney Tomuriesa thanked Telikom PNG for the timely donation and says the Church and the Meri Seif Haus program is happy to receive such a kind donation.


Manager of the Meri Seif Haus Program, Angesula Jogamup extended the program’s gratitude and says the donation would go a long way in helping them run the program. Women who are abused will now be able to contact Kaugere Meri Safe Haus on 3400253.


The presentation was witnessed by Members of the Women’s Ministry and Church members.

Telikom Administrative Team Wins 2nd Best Prize for Well-Dress

The Telikom Administrative team has won the second best dress award at the recent ‘International Professionals Day celebration.


The celebration was hosted by PNG Association of Administrative Professionals saw Telikom PNG’s All-Women team coming second behind Department of Works.


The team members were Elizabeth Soval (KTH MD’s EA), Dorcas Papakat (CEO’s EA), Hedwig Bob (IT), Kari Rei Gau (Retail), Bernadette Taian (Service Assurance), Kila Geno (Marketing), Lydia Sasa (HR), Miriam Skonga (Corporate Sales) and Theresa Isoaimo (Properties).


The team joined other Administrative Professionals from other Business houses for a luncheon at Dynasty Restaurant Vision City to commemorate the Day.


The event was organized by the Papua New Guinea Association of Administrative Professionals.

KUMUL TELIKOM HOLDINGS LIMITED OPENS JOINT RETAIL SHOP AND NEW OFFICE FOR SUBSIADARIES - TELIKOM PNG AND BMOBILE

The merging of Kumul Telikom Holdings Limited subsidiaries have reach another milestone today (15 March, 2019) with the launch of the first ever Joint Flagship Shop and Bmobile’s new office at Telikom Rumana.

The retail shop will serve both customers of Telikom PNG and Bmobile under one roof. The Shop is an one-stop-shop for both mobile services and fixed services customers.

Kumul Telikom Holdings Limited Managing Director Paul Hyde described the launchings today as a significant step in unifying KTHL and its member companies.

KTH Managing Director Paul Hyde said that this was the first tangible sign that the two SOEs were starting to integrate together.

Mr Hyde thanked both teams for their corporation to make the launch a successful one and says the corporation between both teams is a sign of great things to come.

“This is a huge step forward in terms of KTH and member companies. We are becoming an integrated communications provider,” says Paul Hyde.

“This is a showcase of what we can and what we are going to be in the future,” says Mr Hyde.

Mr Hyde commended both Telikom PNG and Bmobile in working together to make the launches are successful one.

KTHL Group Chairman Andrew Johnson expressed his gratitude to all parties involved and urged all employees to have the passion and believe in what they do.

“You have to have the passion for the job that you are doing and believe that we (KTHL) will rise again to be the best telecommunications company, providing and serving the people of this great nation with the best telecommunications services,” says Johnson.

Also speaking at the launches today was KTHL Deputy Chairman, Reuben Kautu who praised the two subsidiaries and urged them to work together.

The launches were witnessed by members of the KTHL Board, CEOs of all subsidiaries and their member companies and employees of Telikom PNG and Bmobile.

KTH Limited 2019 Golf Pennants Launched

The Kumul Telikom Holdings Golf Pennants has been launched on Sunday (24 February, 2019) at Royal Port Moresby Golf Course.

Formerly known as Telikom PNG Limited Golf Pennants has now been re-branded to KTH Limited Golf Pennants.

The launch saw 11 teams including KTH took to the course to battle it out.

The event was officially launched by Telikom PNG Limited A/CEO Mr Xavier Victor who stood in for KTH Managing Director Paul Hyde.

Team KTH got off to a good start by beating team BSP in Round 1 of the 2019 Golf Pennants.

Kumul Telikom Holdings Limited Sponsors 2019 Golf Pennants

Kumul Telikom Holdings has presented a total of K70, 000 cheque to Royal Port Moresby Golf Club to host its annual Golf Pennants tournament.

Telikom PNG Acting CEO Xavier Victor presented the cheque on behalf of KTH and says Telikom PNG has been sponsoring the event for the past 7 years and has once again come on board with Bmobile and PNG Dataco.

Present to receive the cheque was club General Manager Scott Morrissey and club president Peter Del Monte.

Mr Morrissey expressed his gratitude and says Royal POM Golf club appreciates the sponsorship of Kumul Telikom Holdings.

He says most of the golfers that will be participating will be trying to make the pacific games in Samoa and the tournament is great learning code for them.

Mr Morrissey also highlighted PNG Golf Association’s goal in helping youths getting off the street and onto the golf course.

“PNG GA is looking to putting a school program in place this year, we want to find the next Tiger Woods,” says Morrissey.

Morrissey thanked KTH and says the funding is not just for the tournament but the development of golf in PNG.

The 2019 Golf Pennants will be officially opened this Sunday 24th February and will be renamed to Kumul Telikom Holdings Golf Pennants.

Also present was PNG Dataco CEO Paul Komboi and KTH team captain Jesse Gedisa.
