Fixed Line customers nationwide will now save more on voice calls commencing December 1st 2020 and onwards. Telikom PNG announced a massive fifty percent reduction in fixed line domestic call rates to allow greater use of fixed voice services.

The Acting CEO of Telikom, Mr. Amos Tepi in announcing the Fixed Line Tariff changes made mention that Telikom last revised its Fixed Line Tariffs on April of 2014 that saw a complex pricing regime made simpler and affordable and now aims to simplify this even further. “Our focus still remains centered on our loyal and valuable customers and how we best ensure that their communication needs are maintained at ever more affordable rates.”

Fixed Line Local calls used to be charged at 1toea per minute will now no longer be charged the per minute rate. For just 30toea per call customers can now be able to talk unlimited for fixed line local calls. Fixed Line National calls used to be charged at 50toea per minute during peak hours will now be rated at 25toea per minute. Furthermore, fixed line to Bmobile calls used to be charged at 80toea per minute peak hours will now be rated at 40toea per minute and the flag fall charge of 60toea per call is now reduced to 30toea per call. However, the call rate and per call charge for fixed line calls to Digicel still remains unchanged.

“Eventually Telikom aims to zero rate Fixed Line to Fixed Line and Fixed Line to Mobile on-net calls and significantly reduced off-net mobile call rates. To allow for such benefits in usage there will be a slight increase in standard monthly line rentals and charges, however, this will be done gradually in a manner that will result in more cost savings for our fixed line customers,” Mr. Tepi assured.

In addition to the announcement, Telikom is soon to release its Christmas season campaigns that will surely surprise its loyal customers. This Christmas is all about internet data. There’s a whole lot of noise going on about conforming to a Digital Social Culture. Telikom aims to not get people to conform but to Transform and we want our subscribers and Papua New Guineans to experience transformation by giving them massive internet data than ever before this season. It’s All about data because data is no longer a want but a need. With data Papua New Guineans – individuals and SMEs - can enrich, grow and enhance their lives and create a success story for themselves. There is an immense opportunity that exists on the world wide web that is yet to be fully explored and Papua New Guineans will not achieve their niche of opportunity with offers that restrict usage. There will be a lead up promotion to Christmas day commencing December 3rd, followed by a promotion each for December 25th and Boxing day and one for New year to end off the year with. The promotions lined up will be unlike experienced before and is certain to make the festive season a memorable one for all Telikom fixed prepaid internet data users.
