FWB Postpaid Plans - Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. What are the packages for each FWB Postpaid plan?

A1. There are three (3) packaged plans on offer – Small, Medium and Large. The Small plans come packaged with an assigned data quota to use for the month and free access to Facebook, LinkedIn and twitter. The Medium plans are also packaged with an assigned data quota and free access to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and Netflix. The Large plan comes packaged with 50GB data quota for the month and free access to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Wikipedia, YouTube, Netflix, CNN and Aljazeera.

Q2. Can I purchase the GEMTEK Device Out-right?

A2. Yes you can and only at the initial stage of signing up for a plan. The One-off charge for the FWB postpaid device is K449.

 

Q3. Can I rent to own the GEMTEK device instead of paying outright for it?

A3. Yes. For each plan there is a monthly fee charged on the device for a Term after which the GEMTEK device will be fully owned by you. The device rental charge ranges from as low as K15 to K34 per month and the Terms are for 12 months, 24 months & 36 months.

 

Q4. Is the Huawei B315 available with this Postpaid offer?

A4. No. the Huawei B315 is not available with this postpaid offer.

 

Q5. I am an existing FWB Prepaid Customer (either a FWB Huawei B315 or GEMTEK) and would like to sign up on a FWB Postpaid plan?

A5. Yes, if you want to change your subscription plan from prepaid service to postpaid than a service conversion charge of K10 will apply. Before all these happens, your application will go through the credit control check requirements. You will only be charged the monthly recurring charge for the selected plan. Do note that when converting your FWB Prepaid service to a Postpaid service, all your prepaid bundle balance and or credit balance will be forfeited.

 

Q6. Can I purchase the capped data bundles when my plan’s assigned data quota has been depleted?

A6. Yes. Capped data bundle add-ons can be purchased once the assigned data quota has been depleted. Simply log in to your Self-Care account to purchase data add-ons.

 

Q7. Do I get billed for accessing the Free sites that come with each plan?

A7. No. There is no usage charge for accessing and browsing the Free sites offered in each plan. Browsing other sites, however, will be charged to the assigned data quota.

 

Q8. What other online sites are free to access on FWB Postpaid?

A8. Other Free to access and browse sites are the Telikom PNG website and EMTV website.

 

Q9. Is Voice included in each of the plans?

A9. Yes. Voice call is included and is billed per the standard fixed line postpaid call rates.

 

Q10. Will I have access to view my plan bundle and usage on the postpaid Self-Care?

A10. Yes. Log in to the Self-Care with your Fixed Wireless Broadband number and password and you will be able to view your data quota usage and balance, etc.

 

Q11. Will the device be returned if a request for cancellation of service is submitted?

A11. If the device has not been paid for outright or the rental has not been completed than it must be returned as per the FWB Postpaid Device Conditions of use.

 

Q12. What is the Warranty Policy on the devices?

A12. The Warranty on the FWB device is subject to Telikom’s device Warranty policy.

 

Q13. Can I convert from my current FWB postpaid plan to a BlazerXtreme postpaid plan on FWB?

A13. Yes, you can convert to a BlazerXtreme postpaid plan on FWB, however, you will loose the benefit of accessing the Free websites that are packaged with your current FWB Posptpaid plan. Note that FWB Postpaid plan can only be converted to a BlazerXtreme Internet plan. There are no Unlimited Internet postpaid plans yet for FWB.
