TO LAUNCH NEW-LOOK TELIKOM WEBSITE

Good afternoon everyone, members of the media. Thank you for taking time out to come and witness yet another momentous occasion for us here at Telikom Rumana, on behalf of our depot staff at Four Mile and our officers and staff throughout the country.

Today marks another very important milestone in the 55 year history of Telikom PNG Limited.

With the current onset of fast-changing technological world trends and in appreciation of greater competition both globally and locally, businesses and public enterprises have to find their mark in this sometimes fiercely competitive environment.

Marketing strategies have become very important in making or breaking business and constant review and innovation is called for to promote good and profitable business.

One area that has become an important feature in the business world is websites.

And as such we are here today to witness the launch of Telikom PNG Limited’s new look website. New-look in the sense that although it has been around not much attention was paid to it in the past. However with major changes happening in the telecommunication business everywhere, we also have to re-assess our marketing strategies so as to be able to keep up.

This new-look website is an important one-stop-shop that our customers can easily access to find out about products and services that are already available and also check on upcoming ones.

Among applications included, Telikom PNG customers will also be able to log on to check on their postpaid fixed line, prepaid mobile and postpaid mobile billing account details and even go back six months to check on how much has been paid, where calls were made to and the duration of the calls.

Our customers will also be able to quickly report faults on line to cut down on recovery time.

Our Information Technology (IT) Team has been working flat out over the last two months to ensure that this very important facet of our service is up and running because fundamentally we believe our customers deserve the best and Telikom PNG is committed to doing it’s best for them both in-country and abroad.

This new-look Telikom PNG service that we are launching today is a sign that we are in the forefront of technology in the country, that we will be here for the long haul and we will do everything possible to ensure that our customers are given the best.

I now have the pleasure of officially launching the New-look Telikom PNG Website www.telikompng.com.pg.
